PKC Super Stakes Championship Report #2

Night number two of the PKC Super Stakes Championship i n Aurora, KY saw an entry of 180 two-year olds and 116 one-year olds filing through the entry lines at the Tennis Center. The pups hit the timbers at dark and most casts were in and ready for the late round by midnight, a testimony to the excellent guide network in the western Kentucky, western Tennessee area where the championship is held.

Saturday night is do or die night for the hopefuls attempting to put the needed two cast wins together to advance to the semifinals on Sunday night.

As this is being written, pickups are filing into the Ken Lake State Park at an ever increasing clip as the semis and finals of the Super Stakes Championship usher in the granddaddy of all coon hunts, the incomparable PKC World Hunt which kicks off on Monday, October 22nd. The food wagons are cranking out grilled ribeyes and a new hit this year, blooming onions to long lines of hungry hunters.
