Super Stakes CH - Monday Report
PKC Super Stakes Championship Report #4THE FINALISTS!
The turnaround for the late round of hopefuls gunning for the PKC Super Stakes and Junior Super Stakes Championship titles was certainly exciting. We were working in the dark! A transformer blew on a pole at the Tennis Center plunging the giant building into darkness just as things were getting intense!
Rita’s computer was humming, issuing checks to those who had been eliminated, panels were handling questions, and late round casts were being called when we experienced a total blackout. Would you believe I was in the middle of posting the Saturday night winners and the early round winners from Sunday night as well. Of course every coon hunter has a light and soon the Tennis Center was filled with light again, even if the computers and phones were still silent.
We’re back up to speed on Monday afternoon as long lines of entries are being processed at the entry tables. We will more than likely hunt in excess of 400 hounds on the first night of the world hunt tonight.
