The PKC WORLD BENCH SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP was held on October 27, 2001 at the Tennis Center, Ken Lake State Re sort Park, Aurora, KY. The judges were Johnny Brinkley of Florida, Bill Clawson of Ohio, and H.L. Meyer, Jr. of Georgia. The Ring Steward was Gary Hern of Illinois.

Here are the results of the efforts of the judges to select World Breed Champions and ultimately, the 2001 PKC World Show Champion:

2001 PKC World Show Champion: River Pine Flying Hawk, a Treeing Walker male owned and handled by David T. Sessoms of Elm City, NC. In addition to a $710.00 cash award, World Show Champion Flying Hawk won a Heritage “World Champion” Dog Box, a Tri-tronics Field 70 Trainer, 600 pounds of PURINA brand dog food, and a PURINA “World Show Champion” jacket.

2001 PKC Reserve World Champion: Callahan’s Flint River Morgan, a Redbone female owned and handled by Kriss Callahan of Senoia, GA. In addition to a $427.50 cash award, Reserve World Show Champion Morgan received a Bandit Light, a Tri-tronics Bark Limiter collar, 300 pounds of PURINA brand dog food, and a PURINA “Reserve World Champion” jacket.

World Show Champion Black and Tan was Cherokee’s Feather, owned and handled by Kitty M. Gilliland of Greenville, PA. $127.50.

World Show Champion Bluetick was Killion’s Sparky’s A.J., owned and handled by James Killion of Ava, IL. $155.00.

World Show Champion Bluetick “Opposite Sex” was Hard Knockin Juice, owned by Bridges/Cason of Dodd City, TX and handled by James Vannoy of Collinsville, TX. $155.00.

World Show Champion Cur was Show CH Lakeland’s Lucy, owned and handled by Charles D. Haugh of Neoga, IL. $127.50.

World Show Champion English was Hillbilly Big Bull owned by Chad Butcher and Dean Thompson and handled by Janet Butcher of Portland, IN. $155.00.

World Show Champion Plott was Terrible Tuesday, owned by Jeffery D. Farthing of Irvine, KY and handled by Christina Farthing of Irvine, KY. $127.50.

World Show Champion Redbone was Callahan’s Flint River Morgan, owned and handled by Kriss Callahan of Senoia, GA. $427.50.

World Show Champion Redbone “Opposite Sex” was Thompson’s Madison Man, owned by Kay Thompson of Franklin, NC and handled by Sean Clark of Equality, IL in the World Show.

World Show Champion Treeing Walker was River Pine Flying Hawk, owned and handled by David T. Sessoms of Elm City, NC. $710.00

World Show Champion Treeing Walker “Opposite Sex” was Red Eagle Diamond Jewel owned and handled by Lisa Hunziker of Murphysboro, IL. $210.00.
