With these kinds of awards up for grabs, it’s easy to see why the State races are so important. In order to hunt in your state championship next spring, you will need to get out and put your dog in the Top 16 this year. A listing of the top 24 dogs is kept and as members of the Top 16 are unable to compete, dogs are taken from the top 24 in descending order to fill the Top 16 dogs. The 16 dogs run early with the four cast winners hunting late in the Championship round. The winner is declared the PKC State Champion but as you can see, all dogs in the Final Four are compensated very well.

Good luck.
