The John McDonald Southern Black & Tan Days was held this past weekend at Mt Pleasant, Texas. The event f eatured a UKC Night Hunt on Friday and a PKC $500 Added Purse Open Event and Pup Derby on Saturday night. The winner of each respective breed received prizes for being the high scoring dog of the respective breed. The overall winner of the event was Honey, an English female, handled by Jason Brignon. The overall Black & Tan Winner was Hannah, a female, handled by Eddie Fender. Each winner took home prizes valued at $900+ each. The following are the results of the PKC Pup Derby and Open Event held on Saturday, August 17, 2002, as reported by Monique Fugler.
