"Size don't matter!"

Chesaning, MI - Adam O'Donnell of Bancroft, Michigan did what this writer and twenty-six other handlers set out to do on a crisp October night in the land of the big lakes. He won, hands down the $250 Added Purse hosted by the Great Northern Raccoon Club here.

O'Donnell, on the rebound after having his prize Treeing Walker Tramp killed by a negligent land owner has been handling a two-year old Plott female, a pup off the famous PKC World Champion R & R's Buckeye Bud for fellow Michigander and PKC message board frequenter Ray Stein. Talk has been around these parts that the diminutive female who weighs 40 pounds soaked to the bone, is the real deal. She proved that last night in the late round, facing a challenge by veteran Michigan handler Al Gibson who said, "Let's hunt!"

Buckeye Anne scored a perfect 200 points on the only coon treed in the final round to take first place money. This coming after an impressive early round performance of 525 plus to take high dog honors for the night. According to O'Donnell she treed another at the end of the late round but in his words, "I didn't need that one."

Here is the order of finish in the Final Cast that consisted of four different breeds:
