Wipeout Willie Wins Back to Back!

Lula, MS - The 2004 PKC JOY Super Pup Shootout is in the record books. It was a thriller right down to the wire in typical Super Pup Shootout fashion. Wipeout Tommy had a real tough break on the coon he caught but made a valiant comeback with a first tree at the end. Wipeout Willie carried 25 strike and was treed for 25 behind Tommy. Tommy’s luck would not change. The tree was slick and both he and Wipeout Willie were minused on it with Tommy taking a massive 200 minus and Willie a scant 50. That pretty much sealed the deal. Paige’s 25 strike was deleted as the clock expired. Todd Campbell treed Bull, Jr. just before the end of the hunt but it didn’t stick. He took 100 minus and his strike was deleted as the watch ticked off the last second.

And so, PCH Wipeout Willie joins his sire Wipeout Zack, Million $ Elmoe, W’s Millcreek Molly, and Tequila Sunrise in the exclusive club of two-truck winners at Lula. He’s only the second hound to be a back-to-back winner in the same year. Tequila Sunrise did it in 2002. There’s something magic about winning here and once you do it, the odds are you’ll do it again.
