Aurora, KY – It’s a wrap. The 2004 PKC Breeders’ Showcase is over and two hounds find their names on the r ecord books where top young hounds are enshrined for their accomplishments in PKC’s astoundingly popular Super Stakes breeders’ program.

Winning the two-year old division was Tennesseean and PKC veteran Todd Armes with his male Walker pup Storm. Storm had a combined score of 850 points and three cast wins out of three to capture the Senior Championship title. Missourian Curt Ahring won the Junior Championship with another Walker male, his good-looking pup named Trackman. Trackman’s combined three-night score was in the 800’s as well. We’ll cover the background on these outstanding pups in the next issue of PROHOUND.

Here’s the way the pups and big dogs fared on Saturday night, the closing night of another fantastic PKC Breeder’s Showcase in Aurora:

A free fish fry was the hit on Saturday, hosted by the Twin Lakes Coon Club and PKC. Catfish, hush puppies, and all the timmings fed hundreds of hunters. The bench show was a big hit as well and will be reported soon. I’m posting this on the road and will try to get the details online as soon as possible.

Thanks to all that came to Aurora to make this one another huge success!
