Aurora, KY – Sometimes the presses turn slowly, but like the wheels of progress, they do turn. We’re just now providing photos of the Junior and Senior Champions at the PKC Breeder’s Showcase. These photos got caught in the shuffle of a post-Showcase vacation. Normally digital photos make it easy to post things in a timely manner. These are 35mm photos and had to go through a normal processing routine on top of a hectic travel schedule. Be that as it may, here are your 2004 PKC Breeder’s Showcase Champions:

Winning the one-year old division is a 20-month old Treeing Walker male named Trackman. He’s owned by Bennett or Ahring of Marshfield, MO and was handled by Curt Ahring. Trackman was sired by Nocturnal Style, a product of the mating of Nocturnal Nailor and Fletcher’s Stylish Anna. Trackman’s dam is Rock River Lady out of Sackett, Jr. and Nite Heat Dixie. One can venture with little fear of rebuttal that the pup is bred to win. Trackman’s lifetime PKC earnings are $1646.18. Winning his cast all three nights at the showcase, the Missouri pup racked up a total score in the 800 point range over the three nights in Aurora.

The two-year old winner of the three-night Breeder’s Showcase Senior Champion award is Tar Scream’n Storm, a solidly Lipper-bred Walker male owned by Todd Armes of Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Storm was born on June 21, 2002 and was sired by Armes’ White River Tar Nailor dog and is out of Tar Scream’n Casey. Tar Nailor was sired by Nocturnal Nailor and out of Lipper’s Lady. Tar Scream’n Casey was sired by Lipper’s Stylish Rank and out of Hardwood Nicky, a daughter of Hardwood Swamp and Fields’ Missouri Dog. Storm also won his cast all three nights and his total score also reached the 800-point range. His lifetime earnings in PKC are $2.966.48.

And so, the late Nocturnal Nailor figured heavily in the outcome of the 2004 hunt with both champions being grandsons of the well-known sire owned by Jess Dickerson.

Congratulations to Curt Ahring and to Todd Armes for topping the field of outstanding pups at the PKC Breeder’s Showcase!

PKC – It’s where YOU need to be.
