Aurora, KY—You talk about a down to the wire finish, this one was it. In the last few minutes of the hunt any of the hounds, the way they were called, could have won and in true PKC fashion the final score was not available to any of us back at Aurora until the cast came in. It was the three year old Walker male, Wipeout Speck, that came out on top in dramatic finish. Speck owned by Todd Brady of Cascade, VA and handled by David Fleming of Big Stone Gap, VA won the cast with 175+ points on two coon. Speck a son of Wipeout Zach (Moose) was reportedly very tired as he had hunted a total of ten rounds when they left for the final round. The second place finisher, Silk owned by Andrew Bradley and handled by Jeff Travis actually treed the first coon and led most of the night. Following them was Texan Ronny Johnson with Blaze and rounding out the final four was Kansas Junior, a Black and Tan owned by Blaise Bauer and handled by Bruce Gilliam. Our sincere congratulations to these men and their fine hounds on their high placing finishes at the 2005 PKC World Championship. You can catch all of the action on the play by play.
