What a great week in the Lone Star State! Hats off to the Jewett Classic group and the Lone Star 5,000+ crew for putting together another awesome hunt. Many members log several miles each year to attend this grand event. The main reason is because hunters and landowners of this area roll out the red carpet and make sure everyone feels welcome. The second night of the 2016 PKC Lone Star 5,000+ saw rain, thunder and lightning returning to Texas sky. The entries backed off again for the faint of heart, but seventy-three diehards came out to play for the big Added Purses and the Awesome Belt Buckles. Both the Open and Pup Finalists chose to split their earnings and head for their dry motel rooms.
