2018 PKC Lone Star 5000+ Thursday
Iola, TX -
Thursday January 11, 2018
The first night of the 23rd Annual PKC Lone Star 5,000+ kicked off with some cold, high winds in Iola. It had been a warm day, over 60 degrees for the high. But, once the sun set and northwest winds picked up to over 20 mph, it was downright cold. Despite the chill, 62 entries showed up at the Iola Fire Department by the 7:00 PM entry deadline. Many members are here to take a shot at the huge awards package, but some are looking to bag one of those one-of-a-kind Lone Star Belt Buckles. As with the two previous nights at Jewett, the Open Event Final Four hunted, while the Pup Finalists chose to split and call it a night.
