Alex Postle Is 2015 PKC Youth World Champion!
Salem, IL -
Saturday October 24, 2015
What an awesome PKC Youth World Championship weekend we had. It all started with a well-attended Youth Banquet with South Georgia’s Willie Thrift headlining as our guest speaker. The turnout for the Youth World Championship was up, we hunted 93 kids. On Saturday, three experienced Show Judges; Chris Waller, Paul Frederick and Stephanie Frank presided over a great group of youth showing off their hounds. In the afternoon, volunteers, sponsors and enthusiastic bidders raised $10,000 in the Annual Youth World Auction.
Saturday night’s $1,000 Added Purse Youth Open Event saw 52 youngsters trying to get a jump on the 2016 PKC Youth Standings. All of this fun and excitement was capped off with an action packed Final Cast with two raccoons being scored in the one-hour contest. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, hauled kids, donated, bid, bought, judged, guided, hunted or participated in any way. We appreciate every one of you!
Congratulations to 2015 PKC Youth World Champion, Alex Postle of Newark, Ohio. Alex hunted "Bogalos Big Silas", a Treeing Walker male, owned by Neil A. Walpole, also of Newark, Ohio. Alex cashed in on $6,000 in awards and scholarships. His prior PKC Lifetime Earnings before this weekend were $225.
