We are happy to welcome the recent addition of PKC Beagle Western Division Co-Director Jeffery Roberts. Jeffery is a 30 year old who is working on a 6,000 acre farm/logging operation in a small southern Missouri town called Myrtle. He has been married for 8 years to his wife, Amanda, and together they have a 5 year old son, Hunter.

Jeffery was brought up with dogs, first starting in coonhounds as a child with his dad, while hunting beagles on the side. He has been around beagles all of this life. He has been hunting UKC Beagle competitions seriously for about six to seven years. He has been hunting PKC Beagle events for about a year.  Jeffery started the MO-ARK Beagle Club close to his home in 2007 that he still operates to current day. He holds various offices in surrounding beagles clubs, helping with their hunts.

Jeffery, along with his wife and son opened “Roberts Run-More Kennels” at their home, later changing it to “Ought Six Kennel” when they partnered with long time friend, Mike Summers and his family. They train beagles to rabbit hunt and condition beagles for other people that need it. Jeffery has a ½ acre and a 5 acre running pen beside his house that he uses to do this while also running on the outside. Jeffery keeps roughly an average of ten to fifteen beagles at a time of his own.

Jeffery says that he is excited to travel around the area meeting different people and getting them interested in PKC and on board with the growing PKC Beagle Program. Jeffery says, “I love to meet and talk to people and love to talk about dogs. I am eager to help the surrounding clubs to help them grow bigger. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me. My home number is 417.938.4468 and my cell number is 417.270.0269”.
