2019 PKC Labor Day Classic – Saturday
Greensburg, IN -
Saturday August 31, 2019
What a beautiful, cool night for Coonhunting here in southeastern Indiana. The 68 degrees with a light breeze at draw-out time was a nice change from recent Labor Day weekends with their hot, humid weather. It was down in the low 60's by the time all the casts return. The "raccoons scored on" tally was at 56 tonight, bringing the week's total to 267. WOW, what an awesome ending to the six-night PKC Labor Day Classic at Greensburg. We hunted 129 dogs tonight and 587 entries for the week, an average of about 98 dogs per night. For those who think that long lines at the entry table are a thing of the past, you should have been here this week! A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to everyone who worked so hard this week judging, guiding, selling jackpot or raffle tickets, setting up, tearing down, and to all those who just came to enter their dog, we appreciate you all!! Twenty-nine lucky members cashed in on the popular $100 cast win earnings tonight, while the Final Four split the $1,000 Added Purse and hunted for the $1,160 in PKC Open Event Awards. Shown below are Saturday’s Final Four (L-R):
