2018 PKC Labor Day Classic – Monday
Greensburg, IN -
Monday August 27, 2018
The first night of the 2018 PKC Labor Day Classic had a good showing of 68 entries, for as hot and humid as it was. The small Southeastern, Indiana town of Greensburg was teaming with out of state-ers looking for some PKC Cash! Despite the Full Moon lighting up the woods, most casts looked at a few raccoon in their one-hour contest. All members seemed to be having a great time on their return to the Decatur County 4-H Fairgrounds. The Final Four split the $500 Added Purse along with the $1,160 in PKC Open Event Earnings and the jackpot cash. The other thirteen cast winners split $710 and some change. Shown below are Monday’s Final Four (L-R):

Jack was the opposite sex winner with 6 cast wins and 625+ points. We had another very successful week, without one questions being brought back to the club house. We put 182 dogs in the woods, had 21 different cast winners and scored on 55 coon, 4 porcupine, 2 bears and had great weather to boot. I would like to thank all of the guides, judges, kitchen help, people who sold raffle tickets and anyone else who helped out. A special thanks to Jim Snell who organized the hunt and our sponsors, Garmin/Tri-Tronics, Conkey's Hound & Hunting Supply and Ronnie Mace with Valu Pak Dog Food. Please make sure you support these generous businesses. Until next year, happy hunting, keep your dogs in the woods and read the Blue Book.
