The first night of the 2016 PKC Labor Day Classic had a good showing with 67 entries. The small Southeastern, Indiana town of Greensburg was teaming with out of state-ers looking for some PKC Cash! Most all casts looked at a few raccoons in their one-hour contest, but a few lost what they had before it was over. All members seemed to be having a great time on their return to the Decatur County 4-H Fairgrounds. The Final Four split the $500 Added Purse along with the $1,160 in PKC Open Event Earnings. Shown below are Monday’s Final Four (L-R):

The second night of the 2016 PKC Labor Day Classic saw 65 handlers ready to get a piece of the action. There are several members here this week trying to gain some ground in the 2016 PKC State, Breed or National standings. Others are trying to put the finishing touches on the success they have already had. We had a brief thunderstorm, but most of the casts were out of the woods well before it hit.  The Southeastern, Indiana ringtails stirred fairly well and most casts enjoyed some good dog work. Everyone seemed to have a good time and there were no questions tonight. The Final Four split the $500 Added Purse along with the $1,160 in PKC Open Event Earnings. Shown below are Tuesday’s Final Four (L-R):

The third and final night at the Warm-Up portion of the 2016 PKC Labor Day Classic event had sixty-five dogs entered. We appreciate all the members coming out and supporting the local clubs and the vendors at the Decatur County 4-H Fairgrounds. We had a cool front come through the area late Tuesday night and the temperature and humidity have really improved!  The raccoon responded by moving pretty well, as you can tell by the scores posted.  There were no questions brought back to the fairgrounds tonight and many hunters enjoyed a hearty breakfast from Charlie Connall before heading for the bed.  We look forward to seeing you back the next three nights. Tonight's finalists split a $500 Added Purse along with the $1,160 in PKC Open Event Earnings. Shown below are Wednesday’s Final Four (L-R):

We had another great turnout tonight!  At entry deadline, 137 dogs & handlers were ready to hit the timber.  There was electricity in the air at the Decatur County Fairgrounds, for certain. Who will pull ahead in the annual PKC State and Breed Races? Who will hold on to what they have? Who will be the High Scoring HTDA Member for all six Nights? And, who will be crowned the 2016 PKC Labor Day Classic Champion and Youth Champion, each earning an extra $200 for their efforts? The night's Final Four competitors chose to split the $1,200 Added Purse and jackpot, along with the $1,160 in PKC Open Event Earnings.  Shown below are Friday’s Final Four (L-R):
