2001 Grand Saline, TX Pro Hunt

The PKC Blue Ribbon Tour, comprised of 64-entry hunts, pro judging, and a $6800 purse for the Final Four, headed south this weekend to the northeast Texas town of Grand Saline. The weatherman decided to throw a little rain in the forecast just to make things interesting for the boys on the "Pro" tour. Constant rain and miserable hunting conditions were the norm for the weekend. The weather did break Saturday night, providing clear skies and temperatures in the low 50's as the semi-finalists went to the woods. The early round Friday proved there's no shortage of coons in this part of the world with each cast scoring at least one coon and most scoring from three to five in the two-hour contest. The Final Four made three den trees.
