Richest bench show in coonhound history!
Weather permitting we'll gather at 10 AM on Saturday morning at the amphitheater on the shores of Kentucky Lake for the Extravaganza V show. The PKC World Bench Show Championship will follow at approximately 1:00 PM. If the weather is inclement, we'll move inside the Tennis Center. Here are some details:
In order to show in the 2002 PKC World Bench Show Championship, your dog must have won $100 in PKC bench shows between October 1st, 2001 and September 30th, 2002.
However, the PKC Extravaganza V show, which will be held at 10 AM on the morning of the World Show, is a PKC/Purina National Bench Show Tour Event and is open to ANY PKC registered dog. Dogs may be single registered at the show and participate in the Open show.
The PKC Bench Show Extravaganza V will feature $2400 in Added Purses. Each Best Male of Show and each Best Female of Show winner in the Open, Open Performance, Baby Stakes, Junior Super Stakes, Senior Super Stakes, and Champions shows will receive $200 of the added purse.
The PKC World Bench Show Championship will award up to $2200 in Added Purses. Each male and female breed winner will receive $100 of the Added Purse. If we have seven breeds (including cur) that will be $1400. The remaining $800 will be awarded as follows: $500 to the World Show Champion and $300 to the Reserve World Show Champion. There will be numerous other prizes in both the World and the Bench Show Extravaganza V.
There will be two separate panels of judges for the shows.
The World Show Championship will start at approximately 1:00 PM, following the PKC Bench Show Extravaganza V. With $4600 in added purses plus all the prizes, this will be the richest coonhound bench show in history!
The entry fees for each of the shows is $50 so the earnings from the chart of award will be much greater as well. We hope to see each of you in Aurora on October 26th for a great day of PKC bench shows.
