Onsted, MI – Odds makers in the land of the big lakes had better learn not to count Cecil Stanley of Adria n, Michigan out when April and PKC State Championship time rolls around. For the second year in the row, Stanley’s big Walker male Burt has beat the best of Michigan’s best to capture the PKC State Champion title. The back-to-back State Champion win for Stanley comes on top of the PKC State Leader title Burt earned in the 2003 season. His Open money total of $2,063.38 beat his nearest competitor, Stylish Stubby by nearly $500 in the 2003 race.

The high-scoring dog in the early round of the Championship was Ray Stein hunting the amazing Plott female Anne, co-owned by Adam O’Donnell, that brought in the high score early with 875 plus. The cast treed ten single coons and Anne had five of them to herself in yet another stellar performance for the tiny female. Clyde Osborne, hunting Stylish Stubby served as guide of the cast.
