Taylor, FL - Scott Millan, Hunt Director for the Taylor FL coon club files the following report:
I wou ld just like to send the results from last nights $500 added purse hunt that raised money to benefit the Council on Aging here in Baker county. The Council on Aging helps to provide services such as Meals on Wheels and transportation to health care providers for our senior citizens here. Each year our club tries to hold a fund raiser for at least one worthwhile cause. Last year we held one for Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL and this year we're trying our first two night added purse hunt for the Council on Aging. We had 19 hounds compete last night and the final four decided to split.

Taylor, FL - The Osceola Coon Hunters Association of Taylor, FL hosted a two day added purse hunt on Friday July 22 and July 23. The Saturday night hunt was preceded by a chicken and rice dinner with all the trimmings. Several door prizes donated by local businesses were given away and one lucky raffle winner won a $250 Wal-Mart gift card. The weather was very, very hot and humid but lots of coons were treed. The money from the hunt and raffle went to the local Council on Aging which helps all the area senior citizens. Many thanks to all who helped.
