John Evans, 61 of Ashbyburg, KY and formerly of Benton and Owensboro, KY, passed away Friday Dec 9, 2011 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He was born August 26, 1950 in Madisonville, Ky to James Allen Evans and Anita Sue (Hudson) Wiley.

He was a carpenter and had also worked for Townsend Tree Service. He was a lifelong member of PKC where he served as a state representative. He was also PKC National Champion in 1993. He was also of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father; James Allen Evans, and a grandson; Joshua James Calhoun.

He is survived by his mother and step father; Sue (Hudson) and Jack Wiley of Onton, KY

Isaiah Neeble 

One Great Grandson; Joshua Daniel Calhoun

Nieces and Nephews

Services will be held Tuesday December 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Bro. Harry Wilson will officiate.

Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery in Muhlenberg County, KY

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Tuesday 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Calhoun, John Elliott Calhoun, Timmy Thurby, Adam Evans, Cody Durham and Christian Thurby.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
