Evansville, IN – The 48 member field for the 2008 Seniors’ Showdown has been filled. The event is schedul ed for February 1 & 2, 2008 at the Isle of Capri Casino in Lula, Mississippi. Cosponsored by PKC, Purina, and the Isle of Capri Casino, the winner drives home in a brand new pickup truck! The event is a single elimination event, conducted under Pro Rules with non-hunting judges, with early round cast winners advancing to the late round on Friday night. The four late round cast winners compete on Saturday night for the keys to the brand spanking new pickup truck!

Our field this year consist of 27 Males and 21 Females. Those 48 dogs represent one Bluetick Female, three English Males, one English Female, 24 Walker Males and 19 Walker Females.

Georgia leads the field with five qualifiers, followed closely by Alabama and Michigan with four qualifiers each. The states of Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Tennessee each qualified three dogs to participate in the Seniors’ Showdown, with Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia qualifying two dogs each. The field is completed with one qualifier each from Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Southern Pines Mo, a Walker Male, is the oldest of the qualifiers at the tender age of nine, followed closely by Brushy Creek Coma’s Spud at 107 months old! Our youngest qualifier is Brown’s Hdwd Wipe-Um-Up-Ace at the age of three years and four months old, followed closely by Jones Creek Hard Buck at the age of three years and six months old. An additional six 2004 models join Ace and Buck in the three-year old range. The remainder of the field consists of three 2000 models, eleven 2001 models, nine 2002 models, and fifteen 2003 models.
