Ginger Takes Fall Classic

Estill Springs, TN - The 2010 Pro Male vs. Pro Female Shoot-out and Fall Classic had a combined 63 entries and paid out $1,835.00 over two days in Belfast and Estill Springs, Tennessee. Very cool mornings and hot afternoons made for a variety of circumstances but one dog remained consistent over the whole weekend. Coleman’s Ginger by Tuff, owned by Frank Coleman and handled all weekend by 11 year old Luke Coleman of Woodlawn, VA was constantly in the money. Ginger earned 3rd Place in the Shoot-out, won Best Female on the Bench and was the 2010 PKC Fall Classic Champion. Congrats to Luke for earning $446.25 overall!

The Pro-Male vs. Pro-Female Shoot-out was won by Gaines & Swings Shay, handled by Ronnie Ward of Maysville, AR. She earned $400.00 for the accomplishment. Ronnie has been a coonhound man most of his life but he enjoys hunting beagles in the day time. Ronnie is a true houndsman that promotes hounds of all types. Congrats to Ronnie and Shay on the win. Wade and Brian Hill of Estill Springs, TN took 2nd Place with Manny in the Shoot-out and earned $200.00. 3rd Place went to Ginger of Luke Coleman for $150.00 and 4th place went to Mac, owned by Harold Jourdan of Southern Indiana earning $100.00. All four of the PKC regions were represented in the Final Four. The event went very smooth and there were not any questions or complaints. Lance Spivey and Toby Carithers are commended on a job well done judging the finals.

The Fall Classic began Friday afternoon in Belfast, TN and finalized Saturday afternoon in Estill Springs, TN. Both of these fine clubs put the hunters in excellent running grounds and did a fantastic job hosting the two day event. The Bench Show Saturday saw 8 entries and Rambler, owned by Tony Kildow won the best of show. He narrowly edged out Ginger, shown by Luke Coleman. But that was not the case in the Fall Classic, Ginger took first place over Rambler in the field. Congrats to the Coleman Family on their big win! Congrats to all of the cast winners of the weekend:
