Flora, IL - It's over. Jess Dickerson of Garden City, Missouri has won the 2002 PKC National Championship with a littermate sister to the dog that earned him a World Championship in UKC last fall.

The contest was as tightly contested as a coon hunt can get with three hounds finishing with a score of 25 plus. Wateroak Mable, co-owned by Russ Meyer of Grain Valley, Missouri came out on top by virtue of most circle tree points. Barry Kiddy's Wipeout Ruby, in a desperate last minute move, scored 125 on a coon to finish at 25 and capture second place. Roger Carnegie's Deep South Floyd, also with 25 plus finished third. Hardwood Henry, who scored 200 circle on his only tree of the night finished fourth at zero.

Wateroak Mable was sired by Nocturnal Skipper and is out of a female out of Sackett, Jr. Mable is a littermate to the "X" dog that won the UKC World hunt.

Congratulations to Jess and Russ on this incredible and highly lucrative win of twenty-seven thousand big ones! Ask them if they think PKC is where YOU ought to be!
