Greetings from the Isle of Capri Casino and Motel in Lula, Mississippi! We know many of you are shut up in the house with cabin fever due to the weather. The PKC Staff will be bringing you as much timely information as humanly possible throughout the Senior Showdown weekend.
One bit of news, Charles “Sluggo” Payton hunting Wayne Moore’s Blaster dog will not make it to the hunt tonight. We hear that Sluggo’s son was in an automobile accident. He is generally alright, but banged up with some sore or broken ribs. Our prayers are with Sluggo and his family.
The replacement for Blaster is 2010 PKC World Champion Finalist PCH Backwater Bone Collector owned by Doug Compton, Jim Smith and Cannon and handled by Doug Compton.
The weather is not great here, but still much better than my hometown in Southeastern Indiana. The current temperature in Lula is 32°with the low tonight forecasted to be 26° with a rain and snow mix coming in this afternoon and lasting all night. As many of you know, southern raccoons are finicky and many times do not move at all during cold snaps such as this. That late round just might be a tough one!
