Rule Question
Dog A and dog B are both struck in. Dog A has 175+ and dog B 200+. Dog A trees for 100. tree is dead and hunters arrive at tree. Dog B is there treeing also but is in a den in the tree. The den is 2 ft wide by 4 ft tall. Judge says handle dogs and dog A is handled. Handler of dog B refuses to handle stating his dog will bite him if he reaches to get him. Handler A doesn’t want to start shining bc he wants to shine in the den hole bc that’s probably where the coon is. Once again judge asked handler B to handle dog and once again he refused and said if you want to handle him then go ahead bc I’m not getting bit. You make the call,(1) does judge make handler A shine the tree without looking in the den? Or (2) Does judge scratch handler B for interference and not handling dog? How should this work ?
