I'm certain I'm over thinking a few of these... but see if someone can clarify:

1. 14-J RETURNING TO A TREE - Dog(s) may be handled at a scored tree a second time
without being scratched. However, any dog handled at the same tree three (3) times
will be scratched, whether declared treed or not. If dog(s) are handled at the same
tree the third time after hunting time has expired, they will not be scratched unless
they had been previously declared treed during hunting time.

This is describing a situation when a tree has been scored.... dogs have been leashed and recast.... if a dog then returns and trees at that same tree once... that means the first time back would be "handled a second time" , and a second time a dog returns to that same tree would be "handled at the same tree three times" ?

Now if I'm correct on that.... second part of my question is; what happens to points when a dog returns to a dead tree after it's been scored?
