For all y'all that don't like the new rule stay home and if you don't want stay home just go buy the rule and quit crying, and for rest that don't like the garmin just throw it a way and hunt with out one then you can listen for your dog and beat the rest of us that like having them it should be easy for ya'll to win because we will be looking at the garmin and not listen for our dog ha ha.

I love it. It's about time this rule was changed. There may be some that don't, but most of the ones you see using a t15 shock/tone collar use it for one main reason... using it during hunt time.
I for one have gotten to where I look at my garmin to much an try to catch myself looking an put it back in my pouch. But it's become a habit. The only thing it can hurt by hunters looking at there garmin is the judge, an that's where the judge needs to step up an say idc what the garmin says he's doing or where he's at. Handler saying mines so an so way wanting to tighten up towards there's or jump an tree off of it. No they may not always save your dog. But if you look an see your dog is headed towards a hwy an you just happen to be close buy the truck... you may be able to get him caught. An it gives a man the chance to see an know where his dog is.
I don't see how it can hurt everyone that's saying it changes the out come an can't save a dog.
If just buy you looking at your garmin can beat me then so be at. I haven't been beat just by someone staring at there garmin. Let them do what they want. An go ahead about your way. The good ol days are gone. But if the older generation knew so much more an are upset that garmins can be used, then there not as good if a handler/trainer as they think they are! Bc someone looking at there garmin want beat you often if ever. Bc you know ever move your dog makes an don't need to look at garmin.
They've changed the rule just like they've changed other rules before. From the most part i get out of reading this post is people trying to come up with more ways of seeing how they can use a shocker or tone. It's worded plain an simple. No type of collar that can shock or tone is to be used in a cast. It's the rules no need in complaining.

This rule change was recommended by several PKC Members and a few PKC National Directors. They believed the change could not wait. We sent their proposal to the PKC National Executive Committee for their opinion, the committee unanimously approved. The proposal was then sent on to the full body of 34 PKC National Directors for their opinion, they approved it 30:4.

Joe Wilbanks wrote:More than likely what happened with Jake at the other world hunt , its a measure to protect PKC from having to make a decision one day at a hunt, now its plain and clear in black and white no shocking or collar that produces any type of vibration or tones .Do I agree with it no !
That would be an incorrect assumption on your part Joe.

Re: Attention All PKC Members: New Tracking/Training Rules Effective 05/01/17
There have been several accusations made about the use of them. I'm not interested enough in winning to take the time to train the dog to do anything but come when toned or shocked. I do like to be able to go to the truck and call him in no matter where he is but I can understand the reason this had to be done. Some of them already change what they are doing when they turn the light on, I guess they will have to get more serious about getting them to do that now.
Its great that PKC is set up to head a problem off without having to wait until a rule change year.

It had to happen at sometime, no time like the present.
Now let see how well it gets enforced. If they don't enforce this rule in major events the rule is worthless.

WILL THIS RULE EFFECT THE SPONSORSHIP OF GARMIN, TRI TRONICS, SPORTDOG ECT. TO THE SPORT? THEY DO DONATE AND IT DOES HELP.

Re: Attention All PKC Members: New Tracking/Training Rules Effective 05/01/17
FOR THOSE THAT CANOT THINK OUT OF THE BOX. PKC REVENUE JUST TOOK A 15 TO 20 PERCENT LOSS IN ANNUAL INCOME , YOUR WORLD HUNT AND SS PURSE JUST TOOK A LOSS TO. YOUR SPONCERS ALSO HAVE CUT BACK. YOUR DOGS INSURANCE WILL GO UP. YOUR CLUB ATTENDANCE WENT DOWN,IN 5 YRS YOU WILL SEE CLUBS DROP 40 PERCENT. THIS RULE WILL KILL THE SPORT. SET BACK AND WATCH . THIS IS DICTATORSHIP AT ITS BEST ,AND DO YOUR RESEARCH ANTHING UNDER DICTATORSHIP WILL FALL. WHY CHANGE A RULE WHEN ITS THE PEOPLE THAT NEED TO CHANGE, NOBODY WILL EVER TELL ME THAT I CANT PUT A SHOCKING DEVICE ON MY DOG TO PROTECT MY INVESTMENT. UNLESS PKC ASHURES ME THAT THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY INVESTMENT. NOT. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE RULES TAKE THE LAST ONE OUT, COMMON SENSE, BC ITS ABUSED MORE THAN ANY OF THE OTHERS. AND ALL YOU HIRED GUNS ON HERE BLOWING IT UP YOU HAVE NO SAY UNLESS YOU ARE HUNTING YOUR ON DOG, BC YOU ARE NOT PAYING THE BILLS. AND ONE MORE THING JERRY YOU WOULD BE HUNTING A JOB TODAY BC YOU JUST COST ME MONEY IF I OWNED PKC. DONTBOTHER CALLING ME BC IM NOT GETTING BACK ON HERE JERRY, THIS IS MY OPINION.
