Options of 32 and 48 would be nice, but no doubt these are only wanting to be used at current major events or to phase out the existing classic hunts, or it would not be a mandatory fill the first one clause..

We consistently draw 30 plus at our added hunt every year.. I could possibly hit the 64 dog mark with a lot of work.. I could sell 48 pretty easy, I think..

Joe Don Stewart wrote:Jerry just curious why is it mandatory 64 dogs or even if you had a 32 dog as others are suggesting? You have it pro-rated out and PKC and the club are going to get there part and it would allow walk-ups for guys that may not be able to go until the last minute. Just asking

Joe Don, we wanted to get these two 64-dog introductory events scheduled and under our belts this year for the purpose of learning what we can do to improve the Legacy Events before the 2019 season.

We also wanted to get all of this information out there to the membership for them to discuss, sort through and think over. There has been quite a bit of positive and constructive input, as well as some of the other usual stuff. We are listening to member's opinions and suggestions. You can bet there will be tweaks and improvements to the program and we at PKC are very excited about the future of the Legacy Series.

Wesley Wortham wrote:Mr. Jerry. Is these hunts all automatic split. An would love to see if our club in woodland al could see about putting one on think we can fill it up. We have had no real problem filling up our bama bash for cash.

Yes, the Final Cast automatically splits all awards.

Wesley, we are not yet ready to take club requests for these events, but will post here, when we are ready.

Would b nice to have 16 or 32 dog
Hunts. Also if you had 16 dog hunt make the late round 1-4 dog cast and 32 dogs you have two winners, with the way the pst put shows you would have a bunch of two dog cast in the late round which means non hunting judges and pays less

I think it’s a good twist. Would be a good to have one a month or every other month and look at the clubs that pull the most entry’s on the 30 oe hunts and reward them with one of these hunts. I also think it would benefit the club having this hunt to be able to have it as long as they got 32 entries. But definitely a plus going forward.

How is it an open event if we have to reserve an entry? How can we count money toward a state race that everyone is in from a hunt that only a few can hunt in?

They are still open events, you walk up to the table and pay your entry. They are not cutting it off at 64 and you are not having to call in and hope you get an entry before they are all sold. Not even close to the same thing. IMO It shouldn't count toward a race that everyone is involved in unless everyone can hunt in it.

Pretty sure not everyone can hunt in the state championships and breed championships but still counts towards open
