HOLD IT DON'T MOVE

Exodus 14:9-31

The children of GOD had followed Moses up to the red sea, and up to this point things were going pretty good, but now things are about to change, they were faced with a problem that they could not fix."The red sea", many times in our life we face a red sea,a mountain, a circumstance,some thing that is totally out of our ability to handle, and something we can not fix.

In verse 9 we see that Pharaoh (the devil)and all of his might, had (overtaken),this word means in the Greek to (reach)i.e. come close ,as to the children of GOD, not destroy them.

Notice in verse 10, when the children of GOD saw the enemy coming closer they became afraid, fear is a mighty weapon the enemy uses against GOD'S people, fear will cause us to panic, make wrong choices, fear is a cord that the enemy uses to bind us,fear can take us in the wrong direction, and totally out of the will of GOD, fear will cause people to LOOK for something bad to happen,{DO WE REALLY BELIEVE GOD},It will also cause us to grumble and complain against GOD, verse 11,12.

In verse 13 Moses gives the people of GOD instruction what to do, Moses says (Stand still) i.e. "HOLD IT, DON'T MOVE". Can you imagine how the children of GOD must have felt when told to STAND STILL, when the enemy was just about to come upon them, fearing that they would be taken back and be given possibly worse treat, even death.

But by there obedience GOD brought a great deliverance to his people. By there standing still and waiting on GOD, HE made a way where there was no way.Some times we have to just have to {HOLD IT,NOT MOVE} Is this hard or what?

Waiting is the hardest thing to do for a child of GOD, because we are human and because we must deal with Adam nature. We as humans have a tendency to want it NOW,we have become a (MICROWAVE) socity, not wanting to wait, we end up getting the silver or the bronze when we could have had gold, we get second best when we could have had the best. GOD knows where we are, HE has not lost sight of HIS people, HE knows just what we need, GOD has good things for HIS people. If we, the people of GOD really have the faith and are bible read then we should know that GOD is going to make a way where there seemeth to be no way, no need to panic, HE will not withhold any good thing from them that walk uprightly before HIM, He will meet and supply every need according to HIS riches in glory, He knows what we need even of before we ask, GOD will honor HIS word, HE is a man that can not lie.GOD works ALL things togather for good to them that love the LORD. Pray, believe and stand still. HOLD IT, DON' MOVE.
