Winston Ray Aron, 90, passed away January 23, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House - Tupelo, MS. A Korean War Veteran and retired game warden, he was an avid coon hunter and hounds man, best known for his Skuna River Bloodline. He enjoyed spending his nights in the woods and passing down his incredible knowledge to the younger generation of coon hunters.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Tackitt(Clyde); grandchildren, Natalie Washington(Raymond), Sarah Baldwin(Clay), Justin Robinson(Jala), Ben Robinson(Lauren), Jon Robinson(Alisha), Anthony Jones(Mattie), Tracy Tackitt, and Robin Tackitt; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Polk and Peggy Young(Carl); and special friend, Sue Burtram.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Aron and Gola Overby Aron; wife, Shelba Seales Aron; son, Gary Scott Aron; brother-in-law, James Polk; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Aron.
Services will be Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rick Campbell and Remington Roberts speaking. Visitation will begin at 11AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Old Monroe Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Ricky and Rick Campbell, Bradley Gregory, Justin Hester, Avery Adair, and Gary Cowser
