I understand that a lot of people think 55 is too young and I do agree to a point , If your in the shape I'm in at 55 you probably would slow a senior cast down anyway , whatever age they make it will be fine by me I would just like to see it happen.

Maybe it needs divisions such as 55-60, 61-66, 67-72 and 73-99 :) kinda like the youth hunts

It is just a guess, but I think that we should start with one hunt and then maybe divide it into categories if there are enough hunters. Should we have qualifying nights and then a semi-final night and then a finals? Should you have to win 2 rounds in one night to move on or just an early round? Will your dog have to have won $100 to be eligible. Or will the handler have to have earned $100? Will they get it together soon enough to have a hunt this Fall? If so will they waive the earnings requirement for the first hunt since there isn't much time left? Should the handler have to own their dog or can they go out and rent a "ringer"? Will the committee come up with a draft of the guidelines and post them?

Will old ladies be allowed to hunt or is this just for old geezers?

So are they going to have a general meeting at the Showcase to discuss this or are they going to vote on a proposal at Directors meeting? Is it too early for sponsors to start stepping up with prize packages? What about it Garmin? Us old guys can't hunt without an Alpha and some birdseye maps. We do a lot of traveling so we sure need some of those new state maps. And while we are at it our poor old feet always need a new pair of boots. And oh my goodness, don't get me started on our poor old wore out eyeballs. One of those high powered lights is a must have at our age. Surely the vendors know what demographic spends the most money. :P

Brother richard you know us vendors will help you out...Few of us will offer some ideas, then a few of us will tell why it wont work with their wisdom..I think you would be a good representative of us senior hunters that may not make the meeting due to other commitments like senior softball :)..Let us know what you see and hear!

Brother Richard you would also have to wear one of them shirts like a bassmaster fisherman in all of your winning pictures. :)

Mr Dalton, you have gotten the ball rolling. But I don't know if it is rolling downhill now or being pushed uphill. :P
