Not against this policy, but seems like a pretty big can of worms.

What is PKC's definition of "area" in relation to a Major Event? Who has to "catch" the member? Seems like most states have plenty of game laws to deal with this sort of behavior. Why not let the law deal with it?

Hopefully this is "caught by game ranger, or law enforcement" because when caught by them our sport catches the heat. Evidence would obviously have to be provided to punish a member for this violation, and not just word of mouth.

Jerry, you know me and my son have many friends in Indiana. So when he comes home on leave from Camp Lejeune and we come to SS to visit, we can longer pleasure hunt with John Gossett ???

You should follow the laws in each state period.

PKC isnt saying you cant pleasure hunt. They are saying if you get caught doing anything illegal they will bar you for 6 months and fine you $100.

So If you are going to pleasure hunt, buy the license and don't shoot coons, otherwise dont get caught or their will be reprocussions from both law enforcement and PKC.

And I am sure that you would have to get in legal trouble for PKC to act on this.

If this is the case, sorry for the misunderstanding!!! I've bought a Indiana license for years, and hunt there more than in KY. I thought it meant NO pleasure hunting at all, just because of the hunt. Thanks

In the past there has been some issues with members disrespecting the guides that provided them with a place to hunt. Some have done this by returning to the guide's hunting spots without their permission and without a license. Other times members from out of state have turned loose wherever they wanted without permission. This policy is intended to reduce some of these negative issues.

So so so funny... That stuff been happening since the caveman era... Why you think some special few people go to these big events several days early... Or hunt till morning after they lost a cast... Duh...
Just now gonna try and enforce this... So funny..
It's as harder then enforcing the babbling rule... Try working on that...

Agree with this policy. Makes it hard for locals to keep spots to guide too when a few bad apples who were there the year before save it on there Garmin feel free to come back and hunt when ever they feel the need. When if they'd just make a phone call or post on here I'm sure there would be locals willing to take them. Land owners don't like seeing out of state plates parked out in there fields not knowing who they are.

So as long as the policy is used as written here I agree 100%... I do not understand why some people think is ok to just return to someone's spots or just turn loose wherever looks good... Maybe I'm just a sissy but I have never been able to do either of those things, I don't like looking over my shoulder all night while hunting!!
